Your donation could provide valuable bursaries and prizes that enable existing students, from foundation to postgraduate level, to progress and develop their creative learning at AUP.

Your donation could support the Young Arts Club to increase access to and participation in creative learning at AUP. The Young Arts Club nurtures the talents of young people aged 9 to 18, building confidence, raising aspirations, blending art enrichment and community outreach by providing affordable workshops that extend access to creative learning. Donations fund participant bursaries, supplies and access to equipment, helping to give opportunities young people to engage in a range of creative arts activities.

Meet the team! Louise works as Fundraising Manage

Meet the team!

Louise works as Fundraising Manager for South Western Ambulance Charity.

Louise is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (MCIOF) and has worked successfully in fundraising, business development and communications for 20 years. Previously Louise has worked in the Arts and Cultural sector as Fundraiser for The Box in Plymouth. She’s particularly interested in textiles and has a daughter who enjoyed the Young Arts programme.

Like the rest of the team, Louise volunteers her time to drive the AUP Charitable Trust forward.

We are a small team with big ambitions.

We are committed to supporting young creatives and helping them gain access to art learning and facilities.

We'll feature more of the team over the coming weeks.

Anna is our newest Board member and brings with her a wealth of experience.

Anna is an Exhibitions Assistant for the Eden Project who is passionate about the arts and higher education sectors. Anna obtained both her BA (Hons) and Master’s degrees in Fine Art. With over nine years experience in the arts, charity, public programming and arts management. Specialising in Public Art and the viewer experience, thinking outside the box to creatively and positively influence. Alongside her role at Eden Project, Anna is a Fine Artist, a Tate St Ives Collective Producer and avid exhibition goer.

We had another fab time celebrating with the stude

We had another fab time celebrating with the students and lecturers at the VIP opening night of the @artsuniplym Extended BA course earlier this month 😎✌️💥

Did you know that the Arts University Plymouth (AUP) Charitable Trust supports the course every year by donating to their prize awards fund?

This year one of our Trustees Ross, was delighted to attend and say a few words before handing out the prizes.

He was incredibly impressed by the standard which never fails to amaze him each year.

As well as congratulating everyone he encouraged people to focus on 'creativity with purpose' in order to drive positive change. Ross commented that 'The feeling of togetherness, celebration and support shines through every year from the students and tutors'.

The Extended BA course is a four-year route including an exploratory year, developing insight into a range of art, design and media skills. Open to a mix of age and abilities, it's an incredible platform to go on to specialise in further study at the University.

We were delighted to be asked to present an Award at the recent ceremony for @artsuniplym Young Arts attendees.

Our Trustee Sally was incredibly impressed by the work on show as well as the positive attitude of the students.

Sally was honoured to award Bobbie Nail in recognition of being an Outstanding Student for 22/23. Huge congrats to Bobbie and everyone who took part in the various Saturday Arts Clubs.

The Arts Uni Plymouth (AUP) Charitable Trust helps to support young people get access to the multi activity art, design and media courses. The Trust have been helping Young Arts bridge the gap in arts provision for young people created by increasingly limited access to creative activity in schools.

We donate money to help the work of the Saturday Arts Club, which provides 15 & 25 week courses to 9 to 15 year olds.

Established in 1988, Arts University Plymouth’s Young Arts programme features the college’s renowned Saturday Arts Clubs and for over 30 years has worked to bridge the gap in arts provision for young people, using it as a catalyst for learning, while shaping the artists, makers and creative thinkers of the future, and supporting education and social development.
